Walking inside, the cafe was very visually appealing. That’s the only positive. There was an undisclosed, very unexpected gratuity charge of $9 added to the bill for a pickup order that I placed myself online with no help from staff. I can only assume the gratuity is to pay the cooks for doing their job?? When we were handed the food, I was told the French toast I ordered no longer comes with 2 of the main ingredients advertised in the description. The gravy was very watery and you could only taste the unpleasant flavor of uncooked flour. The potato’s ordered with the other entree (a burned breakfast burrito), were shocking as they lacked any seasoning and seemed to be a scoop of boiled potatoes that were smashed together. A lot of money was spent for the quality of food served.

Stopped by for breakfast. Had biscuits and gravy and my friend had pancakes. Both were good but the pancake was so good she didnt even need syrup! Cute atmosphere, reasonable rates, friendly staff, and the place was really clean.

This place is fantastic! I stopped in while I waited on my daughter to take her ACT at Fairmont HS. I love to cook and bake so I knew any place with the name Butter Cafe was going to be great! Service was great the kitchen did get a little behind but the wait was no longer than 20 min. I had a Salty Sailor coffee and the Breakfast Burrito. I added vegan bacon to try it and it was delicious! The house potatoes are amazing, and are crispy and buttery they almost melt in your mouth. It's so cute inside the cafe I highly recommend checking this place out!

Super cute cafe with tasty food, huge satisfying portions, and a variety of options to satisfy people with a variety of tastes. I loved the tofu scramble, it was a wonderful comfort meal. I was a little sad that the menu said "any latte can be made vegan" and then they left stuff off of the one I ordered. For a whopping $2 upcharge, I assumed the whipped cream and toppings would be replaced by vegan whipped cream and toppings. I appreciate having vegan options, but $2 extra to wind up getting less than everyone else is a bummer. The cleaning solution they use to wipe down tables in between customers smells VERY strong and unpleasant. I briefly felt like I was in a gas station bathroom, but thankfully it disappeared quickly. I also wish the coffee drinks were served a little hotter (both my black coffee and latte were lukewarm upon serving). I mention these things not to discourage anyone from going, but in hopes that the cafe takes the feedback to heart. With just a few tweaks I would gladly give this place 5 stars. I did enjoy my experience there and I will definitely come back on future trips to Dayton! Thank you for having a menu that makes folks with diet restrictions feel

Just found a new favorite breakfast place! The menu was amazing. So many choices and lots of vegetarian and vegan options which made me so happy. I got the Jalapeno Popper omelet and the vegan bacon. Everything was delicious! And they have Diet Coke which makes this a perfect place. Our server Gabriel was great! He kept my diet coke coming and was an awesome server. Will definitely be back. If you haven't been here you need to check it out!
